Our Mission *

Friends of Bird City Gardens restores and connects urban habitats for birds and pollinators through hands-on native gardening, stewardship of a native demonstration garden at Mulberry Creek Bird Station, and open-air education for kids and adults on the ecosystems that sustain us.

Native Garden Design

Mulberry Creek Bird Station is a fully native-plant demonstration garden for birds and beneficial insects, featuring plants and hardscape you can use in your existing landscape.

Classes

Educational research projects, ecosystem studies for K-12 classes, and art sessions for all ages are on the agenda for spring, 2027.

Stillwater Wildway

Starting with the first 25 gardens in 2027, we aim to create an interconnected native habitat corridor in Stillwater to welcome birds from the St. Croix River to Lake McKusick.
